Friday evening, June 18th, on top of the Blue Ridge Mountain in Virginia, my love and I tied the knot. It was our holy moment.
Nobody has ever measured, even poets, how much a heart can hold. —Zelda Fitzgerald
On the morning of June 18th Trevor and I had our last non-married breakfast and then split up for the day & we would see each other again during our first look. It was so fun getting ready at the Locks & Lashes they did an amazing job and made the whole appointment so special.
We got ready at our Airbnb separately and did our first look in the backyard, it was quaint, simple, and aesthetically pleasing ;)

Talking through walls, giggling, and conversing about what the rest of our evening holds made me feel like we were kids. It honestly wasn't until I accidently caught a glimpse of Trevor walking outside when I realized...I was marrying my best friend today, this is amazing.
From that moment on I was on the verge of crying big sweet happy tears. This was the moment, the magical realization when my mindset shifted and my heart became so full of hope, joy, guidance, & warmth.

We had never seen the location of our outlook in person, only on google images. It was an amazing sight to see it for the 1st time together right before we said "I do". This moment will always be one of my favorite memories from our wedding day. It is so hard to describe, the mountains SO BLUE, the sunset SO BRIGHT, & the temperature and wind were JUST PERFECT.

“You will find, as you look back upon your life, that the moments when you have truly lived are the moments when you have done things in the spirit of love.” —Henry Drummond
Walking up the steps to our flower petal covered alter was scary wonderful, then Trevor grabbed my hands, our Pastor began to speak, and everything felt right.
I never expected Trevor to cry, but it was a sweet surprise when he did, he cried more than me. A soft soul my man has, I am so thankful for his love.

I am my beloved’s and my beloved is mine; - Song of Solomon 6:3

Our 1st dance was atop this gorgeous mountain after we were wed. As we swayed to 'Touching Heaven' by Johnny Swim it truly felt as if we were.

If touching love is touching God, No wonder I'm in heaven, when I'm holding you. - 'Touching Heaven' Johnny Swim
The song came to an end and we began taking so many pictures, our photographer & videographer were amazing! They set up the petals, played our song, made us feel so comfortable, and when I told Trevor to stop licking my forehead Becca ENCOURAGED IT (lol). The sweetest gift to have ever been given to us on our wedding day, was Becca & Ivan & their sweet spirits.

After the pictures at our 1st location we did what anyone would do, WE CELEBRATED!
A fun dream come to reality was spraying champagne and having fun with my best friend, but what happened next is something Trevor and I still talk about 'til this day.
We sat in the moment, we sipped champagne out of our fancy glasses, and as our photographer and videographer left us for the 2nd location, it was just us. No one but newlyweds sitting on the edge of a mountain overlooking God's creation, overcome with beauty & immense grace. It was our holy moment.

We ate well and cheaply and drank well and cheaply and slept well and warm together and loved each other. - Ernest Hemmingway
